Our Under 14.5 Boys travelled to Clones on a freezing cold day on Tuesday to play Inver College in the Corn Mac Neasa final. Unfortunately they were defeated on a scoreline of 4-8 to 2-6. Despite the loss the boys gave everything possible during the match and should hold their heads up high in defeat. There were some outstanding performances in very difficult conditions, particularly from Rory Partington who was solid as a rock at centre half back and Rhys Garrity who produced some excellent work both at corner back and in midfield. Other performances of note were Oisin Colton in the forward line who scored 1-2 on the day and Darragh McCann continued in his rich vein of form scoring 0-2 from midfield. As a management team we cannot have asked for more effort from these lads and there is no shame in losing as long as we go down fighting. Well done lads. We will be back next year.
Scorers: Darragh Mccann 0-2, Harry McMenamin 1-1, Aaron Mcginn 0-1, Oisin Colton 1-2.
