Year8 & Year9 boys attended the Tyrone Vocational Schools Hurling Blitz on Wednesday 31st May.
Given that for many of the boys it was their first taste of Hurling they performed remarkably well and managed to secure a draw in two of their five games. On the day the boys played against The Academy Dungannon, Sacred Heart College, St Joseph’s Coalisland, St Ciarans Ballygawley and Dean Maguirc Carrickmore. Star performers for St John’s were Cahir Quinn in goals Colin Carney, Tommy McWilliams and Sean Fee in defence, Conor Colton and Ryan Love in mid field while upfront Sean Mc Williams, Aaron Healy, Emmett Mc Goldrick and Tienan Mc Goldrick worked hard.
